Michigan State cheerleader Taylor Young was in stable condition, according to multiple reports, after falling and landing face first on the Breslin Center court during a performance at Wednesday night’s Michigan State-Florida State game.
Several male cheerleaders were holding Young and four other female Spartans cheerleaders aloft at midcourt while the two teams huddled at their benches, when Young and another unidentified cheerleader tumbled to the ground.
The game — which Michigan State won, 65-49, as part of the Big Ten-ACC Challenge — was delayed for several minutes, as medical personnel treated Young then helped her onto a stretcher and escorted her out of the arena.
Young was taken to nearby Sparrow Hospital for observation.
“She’s OK,” MSU athletic director Mark Hollis told the Associated Press.

(Update, Dec. 1: Young was released from the hospital Thursday morning, with no major damage done by the fall, MLive reported.)
