The Detroit Lions let another season fall by the wayside Sunday, blowing a must-win game against the New York Giants — a setback made all the more painful by losses from Green Bay and Chicago in Week 16.
After the dust settled, a few Lions players took to Twitter to express their regret for the choke job.
I would like to take this time to say thanx 2 all our fans who stuck by us this season. I'm truly sry we disappointed u all. #Unacceptable
I'm sorry Lions Nation. That was a catch I've made countless times. In my first game of meaningful minutes, I feel like I let you guys down.
This loss hurts more than any in my life. But Best believe I'll bounce back to rep that Blue & Silver. Go Lions!
